Rains in Venezuela: 20 houses collapsed on the old highway Caracas – La Guaira

Carlos Pérez Ampueda, Vice Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, confirmed that at least 20 houses partially collapsed on the old Caracas – La Guaira highway, Venezuelaas a result of the rains this Thursday, November 10.

Earlier, videos were released of the damage caused by the torrent in the El Limón neighborhood, Catia, which has been affected several times in recent weeks.

He also reported that one person was injured, so Civil Protection officials and firefighters transferred him to a health center.

Evictions were also carried out in risk areas. “The National Risk Management System continues with the deployment of emergency care on the Old Caracas-La Guaira Highway, where rainfall has caused damage to roads and homes,” reiterated the official.
