The Russian military denied on Thursday having carried out attacks on kyiv on Wednesday and claimed that the damage in the Ukrainian capital was caused by “Ukrainian and foreign” anti-aircraft missiles.

“There were no attacks on kyiv. All the damages in the city pointed out by the kyiv regime are a consequence of the fall of foreign and Ukrainian air defense missiles, installed in residential areas of the Ukrainian capital”said the spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov.
It also indicated that the Russian military had carried out “massive attacks” on Wednesday against “the Ukrainian military command system and related energy infrastructures.”

“The objective of the attacks was achieved, all the indicated objectives were hit,” he claimed, assuring that the shelling had damaged “the rail movement of Ukrainian army supplies, foreign weapons, military equipment and ammunition.”
