Bolsonaro led a graduation ceremony for new cadets from the Agujas Negras Military Academy, in the city of Resende, in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro, where he himself trained as a soldier, in 1977.

He was accompanied by Vice President Hamilton Mourao, Defense Minister Paulo Sérgio Nogueira, and the holders of the portfolios of General Secretariat, Luiz Eduardo Ramos, and Institutional Security, Augusto Heleno, all generals who led the Government that will end on December 1. January and to whom he gave a marked military accent.

At the gates of the military academy, a small group of far-right activists who support Bolsonaro gathered and who, since Lula’s victory at the polls, have demonstrated in front of the barracks to demand a coup that prevents the leader’s investiture progressive, even though they have been totally ignored by the generals.

Bolsonaro had not attended any official act since October 30, when the second round of the elections was held, which Lula won with a narrow difference of 1.8 percentage points.

Since then, he has been confined to his official residence in Brasilia, from which he had only left a couple of times to go to the Planalto presidential palace, but without any contact with the press or with his followers.

Also, since he lost the elections, the far-right leader has silenced his social networks, in which he had been feverishly active in recent years.

This week, the Liberal Party (PL), which supported his frustrated candidacy for re-election, filed a lawsuit before the electoral justice, in which it asked to partially annul the result of the elections won by Lula, alleging alleged problems in part of the electronic ballot boxes. used for voting.

However, the action was rejected by the Superior Electoral Court, which also imposed a high financial penalty on the PL for what it described as a “litigation in bad faith”, since Bolsonaro’s party did not provide any “serious indication” about the alleged irregularities. denounced at the polls.
