At the beginning of the year, the little girl was left in a baby box made of Safe Haven in the county of Lake. These “baby boxes” allow mothers to deliver their children of no more than 45 days anonymously and without fear of being arrested or prosecuted, as explained by WLKY, a Louisville CBS affiliate.

“Myah It was really an answer to our prayer and hopefully we were also the answer to his mom’s prayer.” explained Shelby Faltynski, who added that the Safe Haven Act “just makes me think that moms know they have a choice” when they can’t or don’t want to take care of their children.

Additionally, she was admitted to the NICU of a local hospital where they determined that she had suffered a stroke. As the days went by, her minor improved and today she is in good health.
