Boy dies electrocuted after opening the refrigerator in his home in Argentina

A tragedy occurred in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. A 10-year-old boy died after opening the refrigerator in his house in San Martín.

The event occurred on December 1 at 10 p.m. in his home located in the Néstor Kirchner neighborhood, Palmira, 50 kilometers from the capital of Mendoza.

According to the Argentine media TN, the minor went to the refrigerator with the intention of drinking water before going to sleep. Suddenly, he received a powerful and withering electric shock that left him unconscious.

The relatives began to call emergencies, but they did not arrive. So they decided to transfer him to the nearest health center in a private vehicle.

Upon arrival, the minor was quickly treated and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed. Everything was in vain, since the minor had already died on the way and the medical personnel only confirmed his unfortunate death.

The authorities of the San Martín Jurisdiction Prosecutor’s Office continue to investigate what caused the electric shock, whether it was a clandestine connection or another reason.
