Ukraine denounces receipt of more threatening letters against embassies in Romania and Denmark

The Ukrainian government reported today that new threatening packages or letters have been received at the Romanian and Danish embassies, bringing to 21 cases of this type of shipment to European countries that support Kiev, including Spain.

“We have new cases of dangerous shipments to our embassies,” said in a virtual briefing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, as reproduced by the portal ukrinfrom.

The purpose of these shipments is to “terrorize our staff”, continues the minister, adding: “Relax, stop wasting time and money on postage stamps – you’re not going to get anywhere.”

So far, shipments of threatening letters have been confirmed -with pyrotechnic material or with animal eyes inside and traces of blood- in Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Italy and the Czech Republic.

Only in Spain have envelopes of these characteristics been intercepted in recent days at the Embassy in Madrid, as well as at the consulates in Malaga and Barcelona.

In addition, shipments with gunpowder and pyrotechnic material addressed to the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez; the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, the Torrejón de Ardoz air base and an arms manufacturing company in Zaragoza.
