US Warns of ‘Large-Scale Military Partnership’ Between Russia and Iran

Referring in particular to the use by the Russian military of Iranian drones in UkraineJohn Kirby, spokesman for the National Security Council of the United States, stated that Russia “offers Iran an unprecedented level of military and technical support” that “transforms their relationship into a full advocacy partnership.”

According to US intelligence services, Moscow and Tehran are especially studying the possibility of launching joint production of drones in RussiaKirby stated.

In return, Moscow plans to supply Iran with “sophisticated” equipment, helicopters, air defense systems and fighter jets, the spokesman said.
