Russia protests against Finland over the “desecration” of the Russian flag

Russia has protested to the Finnish government over the “desecration” of the Russian tricolor flag by a group of people during a march on the occasion of the Independence Day of Finland last Tuesday, reported the Foreign Ministry.

In a statement, Russian diplomacy indicates that on that day “a group of people burned the state flag of the Russian Federation”.

For this reason, Moscow made a diplomatic representation to the Finnish side through the Foreign Ministry, “during which it was stated that such actions are considered an unprecedented and unacceptable act of desecration of the state symbol” From Russia.

“The Finnish authorities must bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice and take measures to prevent such extremist actions from happening in the future,” said the department headed by Sergei Shoigu.
