Lawyer Camacho pointed out that the governor of Santa Cruz he suffers from a “syndrome” that affects his blood vessels that “affects heart rate, kidneys and blood flow”, for which reason he has been asked to “transfer him to a facility where he can receive treatment”.

“Today he had a contracture, a muscular paralysis throughout the body. She has raised her blood pressure and also her heart rate, ”explained the lawyer.

Police arrested Governor Camacho last Wednesday in Santa Cruz and carried out an operation to take him to La Paz, where he was prosecuted for the crime of terrorism as a result of the case called “coup d’état I”.

On Friday morning, a judge ordered four months of detention against the highest departmental authority of Santa Cruz which he must serve in a maximum security prison 35 kilometers from La Paz, in the middle of the highlands and at almost 4,000 meters of altitude.

The governor’s lawyer said that in the prison “there are no care mechanisms” for his illness, which was not known before because it was a “reserved topic”, but that “has had to come to light” due to his situation.

Camacho’s legal representative also mentioned that the reports issued by the doctors provided by the State have indicated that he is “stable” and that this assessment is “malicious” since “he will have stronger and more aggressive decompensations” if he does not receive his treatment .

In this regard, the deputy director of Human Rights Watch (HRW), César Muñoz, spoke on Twitter and said that Camacho suffers from “a serious chronic illness”, citing the governor’s lawyers.

“The State, headed by the president @LuchoXBolivia, is responsible for the health of all the people in detention. The prison authorities must guarantee adequate medical care for Camacho, including his transfer to a hospital if necessary for him to receive it, ”was the request of the HRW representative.
