Cameras captured the moment a puppy saves its owner from being robbed; however, he is shot in the leg and they end up pointing it at him, in the city of Tibás de Costa Rica.

Through Twitterthe user @MrElDiablo8 shared the video where a man can be seen walking calmly with his pet on public roads, when suddenly two subjects appeared on a motorcycle and tried to snatch his cell phone.

Seeing the scene, the dog, purebred American Stafford, he did not hesitate to launch himself against the subject who got off the motorcycle to get him away from his master. The passer-by then ran, while the loin followed the offender, who finally scared him away by firing a weapon.

Dog suffers amputation after being shot in its leg

The animal suffered an injury to one of its limbs and, according to a Telenoticias report, had to undergo an amputation.

The video of what happened went viral on social networks, where the dog was described as a hero:
