This is the first photo of a man who, according to police, shot and killed 10 people in a mass shooting in Los Angeles.
The horrific shooting happened after a Chinese New Year celebration in California.
Photos posted to social media show deserted, cordoned-off streets in Monterey Park, about seven miles from downtown Los Angeles, after a man opened fire with a “machine gun.”
Gunshots were first heard around the site of a Chinese New Year celebration after 10 p.m. local time.
LA police have confirmed that the gunman behind the attack on a Garvey Ave store is still at large after fleeing the scene.

Los Angeles Sheriff Robert Luna confirmed at a news conference today that a “preliminary description” of the alleged shooter was an “Asian male.”
They also confirmed that a “white van” is an interesting vehicle.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said on appeal tonight: “At 10:22 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, the male/adult/Asian suspect pictured above was involved in a shooting at the 100 block of West Garvey Ave in the city of Monterey involved. Park.
A second incident occurred at 10:39 p.m. at the 100 Block of South Garfield Ave in the city of Alhambra.
“Investigators have identified him as a murder suspect and he must be considered armed and dangerous.”
