The footage, which was recorded by a Tesla dash cam, shows the exact moment a black Kia is idling along a highway in the Chatsworth district when suddenly something unexpected happens.

While the car accelerates on the left side, the tire of a vehicle traveling in the right lane suddenly shoots out and hits the Kia, which ends up overturning on the American highway. According to the British newspaper ‘The Sun’, it was thrown 10 feet into the air.

Faced with the sudden crash, the driver of the black car did not have time to react. The images show the vehicle flying through the air, going around a few times, and then landing without some parts. On the ground, debris from the accident remains.

The Kia was left in the middle of the road after the impact it received from the tire; while the other vehicle, for its part, was able to continue its normal course. The shocking scene took place last Thursday on the Ronald Reagan Highway, located in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, United States, according to ‘Storyful’.

According to ‘The Sun’, the accident did not leave serious injuries. A spokesman for the California Highway Patrol said the driver of the Kia suffered only minor injuries.

The video was shared on Twitter by the user @Anoop_Khatra and generated a whole wave of reactions that ranged from surprise, outrage and concern. “This also demonstrates the reduced weight of an ICE vehicle and how they can be catapulted into the air by a tire,” one user wrote; while another noted: “Investigators will find that the truck had gaps in the wheels that caused the wheel hub assembly to fail and this to happen.”
