Anti-Chavista party asks former Oil Minister to clarify corruption case

The Venezuelan political party movement to socialism (MAS) demanded this Monday the former Minister of Petroleum Tareck El-Aissamiwho recently resigned from his position to “support“the investigation for corruption that is taking place within the state Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), that “face the country” and explain the criminal acts related to the company.

At a press conference, the attorney general, Tarek William Saabexplained that almost all of those involved are related to irregularities committed within the Superintendence of Cryptoactives and the Vice Presidency of Commerce and Supplies of the state oil company PDVSA.
