Israel attacks Hamas positions in Lebanon after firing 36 rockets

“The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked targets belonging to the terrorist organization Hamas in the south of the Lebanonconfirmed an Army spokesman, who warned that they will not allow the Palestinian group “operate from within” from that country.

This attack comes after registering yesterday the largest attack from Lebanese territory towards Israel since the 2006 war and for which the Army blame Palestinian groups.

The military spokesman explained that they also consider that “the state of Lebanon It is responsible for every aggression that emanates from its territory”.

In parallel with the attack on the neighboring country, the israeli army continued to attack Hamas targets in Gaza early Thursday morning, both through fighter jets and tanks from the border area.

“This morning, after the continuation of the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, IDF tanks and planes attacked military posts of the Hamas terrorist organization along the border.”a spokesman reported.

Shortly before, they had already announced attacks on weapons manufacturing sites and tunnelsall allegedly belonging to Hamas, which governs de facto in the enclave and which Israel holds responsible for all hostilities that emanate from there.

Although the number of rockets fired from Gaza towards Israel during the early hours of today has not yet been specified, a military spokesman stressed that it is “multiple projectiles” while local media speak of more than 40.

“We hold the Zionist occupation fully responsible for the dangerous escalation and flagrant aggression against the Gaza Strip and our proud Palestinian people, and for what will happen in the region.”warned a statement from Hamas after the Israeli retaliatory bombardments earlier this morning.

The group also made reference to the clashes between the Israeli Police and faithful Muslims in Al Aqsa Mosque of occupied East Jerusalem, which on Wednesday left more than 30 Palestinians injured and some 350 arrested and triggered the launch of the first rockets of the ongoing exchange of fire.
