Colombian Ministry of the Interior apologizes for homophobic tweet

The Ministry of the Interior of Colombia apologized this Wednesday for a comment homophobic posted on his Twitter account about one of the characters in the movie “Super Mario Bros”.

I hope Luigi is fagot”, indicates the message published on the Ministry’s Twitter account, accompanied by a photograph referring to the film “Super Mario Bros”. The message was deleted shortly after the account but the screenshot made by users of the social network went viral.

He Ministry of Interior He tried to remedy the situation and immediately wrote on Twitter: “We know it wasn’t the words, but we are aware that homophobia kills”.

That is why we are in favor of all initiatives that make visible the LGBTIQ+ population and we work so that your rights are guaranteed”, added the message.
