The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchezdenied this Monday that he wants to be the next secretary general of the NATO and assured that the news published in this regard is a hoax.

To questions from journalists in an appearance in Madrid together with the Swedish prime minister, ulf kristerssoncritical “These lies and hoaxes that have spread throughout these weeks” about the possibility that his future happens to replace Jens Stoltenberg in front of the NATO.
“I’m afraid that the media that have poured hours of social gatherings, radio and newspaper pages saying that this is the case and that he was advancing the elections because he was looking for a personal solution (…) they will not use the same space to deny it”, he pointed.
Sánchez announced a week ago general elections in Spain for the next one July 23thone day after municipal and regional elections were held in the country with a bad result for the socialist party, of which he is general secretary.
