A black bear roams a Washington DC neighborhood and causes a frenzy before being captured

The Metropolitan Police in Washington and animal control personnel are scrambling Friday to locate a black bear that was seen up in a tree in a neighborhood of Washington.

Television stations have shown images of the animal, a Urusus americanusresting on a tree branch near the street Franklin from the American capital.

The FOX5 television station showed a video in which the bear is seen resting on a thick branch in the middle of the smoke of the forest fires in Canadawhich still affects the american northeast.

A Twitter user posted video on her account showing the animal running across the street near the intersection of 14th and Monroe streets.

The police have interrupted the traffic of vehicles and pedestrians waiting for the capture of the animal, and the public school Elsie Whitlow warned families about the presence of the bear a few blocks from that institution.
