A cameraman for the Russian television channel NTV died today as a result of injuries suffered in a drone attack Ukrainian in Donetsk, according to local authorities in that region annexed by Russia in 2022.

It had previously reported that two of the channel’s journalists, correspondent Alexei Ivliev and Kózhin, as well as a soldier accompanying them, were seriously injured after a drone dropped an explosive device on them.

The journalists were rushed to hospital, where they fell into a coma and underwent immediate surgery.

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, María Zajárova, highlighted that it was an attack “deliberate” from a Ukrainian drone, which he described as a “terrorist attack.”

“I hope that at least now at the press conference of the UN Secretary-General’s spokesman, (Stéphane) Dujarric, this issue will not go without comment. And may they find the courage to say who attacked and condemn this attack,” he told the United Nations.

In an interview last week with the main international news agencies, the Russian president Vladimir Putinn, it is estimated that at least 30 Russian journalists were killed in Ukraine.
