Hours earlier, the two leaders hated by the West had agreed to a “strategic partnership,” with Vladimir Putin clearly referring to an alliance against the United States. “Today we are fighting together against the hegemonic and neo-colonialist practices of the United States and its satellites,” Vladimir Putin said, according to Russian media, during a gala concert organized in his honor on the occasion of his visit to Pyongyang.
