Bill Gates, co-founder and former CEO of Microsoft, had already been lectured in 2008 after sending inappropriate e-mails to one of his employees. This is what an investigation by the Wall Street Journal published this Monday.
A Microsoft spokesperson then confirmed this information. At the time, group leaders informed of the existence of the emails told Bill Gates that his behavior was inappropriate and that he had to stop. In the emails, the CEO openly flirted with the employee and invited her to meet him outside of work.

Bill Gates had admitted the facts and promised not to do it again, according to the Wall Street Journal. The board had taken no action against him. “Apart from confirming that the information […] are fair, Microsoft has nothing more to add, ”a spokesperson for the company said on Monday.
The Microsoft co-founder left his executive post in 2008 but remained on the board. He definitively left the group in 2020 after the revelation of an affair twenty years ago with an employee. Bill Gates, one of the richest men in the world, and his wife Melinda announced their divorce in May 2021 after 27 years of marriage.
