On the morning of this Sunday, a strong earthquake was registered in much of Colombia.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Amazons, at Peru, near the border with the Colombian Amazon.
According to the Colombian Geological Service (SGC), the earthquake was of magnitude 7.4. It was felt in various parts of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

The preliminary report of the authorities indicates that it happened at 5:54 in the morning and its depth was 99 kilometers.
The SGC pointed out that it was felt in a good part of the national territory. There are reports that the earthquake was felt in: Bogotá, Nariño, Huila, Putumayo, Caquetá, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Quindío, Tolima, Valle Del Cauca, Amazonas, Risaralda, Meta, Antioquia, Guaviare, Boyacá, Caldas and Norte de Santander.
For his part, Geophysical Institute of Peru indicated that the epicenter of this earthquake was located 98 kilometers east of Santa María de Nieva, Condorcanqui province, Amazonas region, with a magnitude of 7.5.
