China registers 38 local infections among the 61 new positives of the coronavirus

The National Health Commission of China announced today the detection of 61 new positives of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 this Sunday, of which 38 are by local contagion.

The latter were detected in the provinces of Inner Mongolia (north, 28, scene of a small regrowth in recent days), Heilongjiang (northeast, 7), Yunnan (south, 2) and Hebei (northeast, 1).

The remaining 23 were diagnosed in foreign travelers in the municipality of Shanghai (east, 5), and in the provinces of Guangxi (south, 9), Yunnan (south, 4), Shaanxi (center, 2), Fujian ( southeast, 1), Shandong (east, 1) and Guangzhou (southeast, 1).

The data remains in the same line as the previous day, when the source announced 59 new infections.

In addition, the health authorities also reported today the detection of 44 new asymptomatic infections (all “imported”, except 5), although Beijing does not count them as confirmed cases unless they manifest symptoms.

The total of this type of infections under observation is 487, of which 419 come from other territories.

Likewise, the National Health Commission detailed that, until last local midnight (16:00 GMT on Sunday), 37 patients were discharged after successfully overcoming the covid.

Thus, the total number of active infected in mainland China stood at 1,060, 12 of which are serious.

According to the institution’s accounts, 99,203 people have been infected in the country since the beginning of the pandemic, among whom 93,507 have managed to heal and 4,636 died.

To date, 1,339,086 close contacts with infected people have been followed up, of which 35,990 are still under observation.
