Woman victim of robbery lashes out at thief, recovers her belongings and takes her bicycle [VIDEO]

He went for wool and ended up shorn. A thief attacked a woman to snatch her belongings in one of the main avenues of Soacha, in Cundinamarca (Colombia), but he did not imagine that, when fleeing, the young woman would chase him and attack him to recover what was stolen.

As Noticias Caracol points out, the victim was talking on the cell phone when she was surprised by the subject.

However, the thief did not expect the woman to react to the assault. The video clip shows how the woman runs towards the man and surprises him by jumping on his back to tackle him and retrieve the stolen item.

Amazed, the man tries to get his victim off of him, but the woman beat him up, scaring him and then trying to run away. The thief managed to get away from the young woman; he left the stolen objects and ran away; however, they snatched the jacket he was wearing and he abandoned the bicycle that was lying on the ground.

In the distance, two men approach to help him, but the subject was able to escape. The victim managed to recover her cell phone and kept the thief’s belongings.

“The reaction of the victim “is not normal, it is the natural reaction of an exercise that is done with crime prevention education”, assured the community leader of Soacha Adán Hernández to the press.

“She is a woman that one would think is weak, but she knows that she is in a territory where there is an organized community that is going to support her and that creates a courageous defense,” he added.

“If this were not a territory where education and crime prevention plans were not made for 24 hours, very surely no one would have taken this reaction for fear of the criminal, but here we have autonomy and decision against crime,” he pointed.

For his part, the commander (e) of the Soacha Police, Colonel Juan Ramírez, said that in the municipality there was a reduction in crimes of 33% during 2021.
