Today’s dollar in Colombia: check the exchange rate for this Wednesday, February 2, 2022

The dollar price in Colombia climbed in the session this Wednesday, despite the downward trend of the US currency globally.

For its part, in the Colombian stock market, the benchmark MSCI COLCAP index appreciated 0.07% to 1,538.02 points the day before.

Other currencies in the region also benefited from the US currency’s correction after the previous week’s gains, as investors recalibrate expectations around the pace of the Federal Reserve’s policy tightening.

The dollar weakened broadly against other major currencies as aggressive bets on future Fed rate hikes faded. The dollar index fell 0.302% and the euro gained 0.22% to $1. 1258, Reuters reported.

In 2021, the US dollar was exchanged at a maximum of 4,033.25 Colombian pesos, while its lowest level was 3,412.80.
