The price of the dollar in Venezuela according to DolarToday operated this Thursday amid statements by Nicolás Maduro to give “all the support” of his country to Russia amid tensions over Ukraine.

The dollar stood at 4.59 digital bolivars today in the informal market in Venezuela, according to data from the DolarToday portal.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro expressed his support for Russia on Wednesday, amid tensions between Moscow and Western powers over Ukraine.

“Russia has the full support of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the fight it is giving to dispel the threats from NATO and the Western world,” Maduro said after receiving the Russian deputy prime minister at the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas. Yuri Borisov.

“President (Vladimir) Putin knows that he can count on the Bolivarian and revolutionary people of Venezuela and on us as a government,” he added.

Borisov, earlier, considered Venezuela “a strategic partner of Russia in Latin America and the world in general.”
