Price of the dollar today in Mexico: know how much the exchange rate is this Monday, February 28

The exchange rate in Mexico was trading higher on Monday due to the depreciation of the peso, in an erratic market as investors digested news that Western powers imposed tougher sanctions against Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.

The dollar was trading at 20.3550 Mexican pesos, up 0.10% from Friday’s Reuters benchmark price.

The concern now is to know the true scope that the war in Ukraine and, especially, the sanctions imposed on Russia, are going to have on Western economies.”, said the local CI Bank.

Energy giant BP, multinational bank HSBC and the world’s largest aircraft leasing company, AerCap, joined a growing list of Western companies seeking to exit Russia on Monday, as Western sanctions tightened the screws on Moscow.
