The monetary entity detailed that the dollar has a decline of 4.42% so far in 2022, compared to the result recorded at the end of last year (S / 3,991).

The foreign currency registered an appreciation of 10.28% at the end of 2021 due to the impact of political uncertainty and doubts about the economic outlook due to the new variants of the coronavirus.

Regionally, Latin American markets closed Friday with a mixed trend, in a volatile week amid better-than-expected US labor data that fueled concerns that the Federal Reserve may have to raise rates more than expected. to contain inflation.

According to the Reuters agency, employment growth in the United States increased more than expected in April, which highlights the solid fundamentals of the economy despite the contraction of the Gross Domestic Product in the first quarter.
