QUOTATION OF THE DOLLAR IN COLOMBIA THIS JULY 5

The price of the dollar in Colombia for this Tuesday, July 5, 2022 is 4,189 Colombian pesos, according to data from the Bloomberg agency.

At the regional level, the currencies and stock markets of Latin America exhibited a mixed closing on Monday, a day in which the markets in Argentina fell after the untimely departure of the Minister of Economy, in the middle of a session with low volume of business due to the holiday in the United States that kept the main square for currency arbitrage closed.

According to the Reuters agency, Argentina’s financial markets suffered from the uncertainty generated by the abrupt changes in the country’s economic leadership, which is suffering from growing financial imbalances amid the turbulence that is shaking the center-left ruling coalition.

The heterodox Silvina Batakis was elected Minister of Economy on Sunday after the untimely resignation of Martín Guzmán, who left office citing strong opposition to his management by the radical wing of Peronism in the Government, headed by Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

The new official “is not the person that the markets expected, nor the one that the market detests,” said financial analyst Christian Buteler.
