Gloria Foods gets the green light for the purchase of Soprole

On November 30, the Peruvian holding company announced yesterday– through an event of importance– that it entered into a purchase and sale agreement with Fonterra Investments for the acquisition of 100% of the shares of New Zealand Milk (Latam) LTD and to finally acquire blow him Investments and its subsidiaries in the southern country.

Three months later, the Peruvian group finally obtained authorization from the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE) to complete the purchase whose price would amount to the final amount is around 591.07 billion Chilean pesos (US$641.3 million), as reported by Soprole to the Commission for the Financial Market, in Chile in November 2022. This was reported by Diario Financiero de Chile.

Through a statement sent to the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF), the Peruvian dairy company reported that the FNE “resolved to purely and simply approve the transaction” that had begun on November 17.

Soprole, which has 15 brands, has 29.3% of the Chilean dairy market, which the Peruvian company will inherit towards its regional consolidation.
