Allisson Pérez, Foreign Exchange trader at Renta4 SAB, explained that during yesterday the demand came from offshores, while the offer came from corporations and BCRP intervention by placing Sale Exchange Swaps for S/ 500 million at an average rate of 5.54 %.

He added that US$391 million was negotiated in the market at an average price of S/3.6954. During the day, the dollar reached a minimum price of S/3.6900 and a maximum price of S/3.6990. In addition, today the Sales Exchange Swaps expired for S/ 250 million.

Globally, negative data came out in the United States, on IEA crude oil inventories and building permits. On the other hand, the price of copper fell by 10%, which makes the dollar recover slightly.
