Yesterday, Wednesday June 28, the US currency closed in the Peruvian market with a value of S/3.6330according to what was reported by the issuing entity.

According to the BCRP, the interbank exchange rate had an average value of S/3.6316, with a minimum of S/3.6270 and a maximum of S/3.6350.

How did the dollar fare in June?

On the day of Friday, June 23, the dollar closed at S/ 3.6360, in a local context that showed a climate of less uncertainty and volatility, according to Matías Maciel, co-founder of Rextie.

“We estimate that this stable or slightly downward trend will continue in the coming days. Although we do not find much further downside, we do not see scenarios of relevant increases in the price of the US currency.”said.

A few days ago, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) released the GDP growth rate for April in its latest report, which registered a positive variation of 0.31%.

The FED maintained its interest rate level in the range of 5% to 5.25%, in line with market expectations.

And, finally, the BCR reduced the projection of private investment for this year with a contraction of 2.5% and a recovery in the second semester.
