The price of the dollar in the country on Friday, August 4, 2023 closed at 3.6850, as announced by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

The interbank exchange rate closed with an average value of S/3.6933, with a maximum of S/3.7010 and a minimum of S/3.6800.

WHAT IS THE OCOÑA DOLLAR?

The Ocoña dollar is the “street dollar”, that is, the informal exchange rate, the one that is bought and sold in the parallel market or exchange houses. The Ocoña jirón and the “Ocoña dollar” are still valid as a reference in the parallel market for the purchase and sale of dollars.
