The French social media star, who has just settled in Dubai, has been targeted by the Directorate-General for Competition, Consumption and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF) after she aired an advertisement for Crest 3D White tooth whitener without specifying its commercial nature. , points to a letter shared by Pupette Kenza on Snapchat. He is also accused of “giving the impression” that the sale of a product was “legal when it is prohibited from sale on French territory”.

Consequence: A young woman aged 23 faces a fine of 50,000 euros. She is also ordered to issue a press release detailing her sanctions on her Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat accounts, where she is followed by at least 1 million followers.

Higher fine than Nabilla

The fine comes after a series of multiple sanctions imposed this summer by the DGCCRF on influencers accused of not making the terms of their partnership clear or for promoting dubious products. But the latter at this stage have not yet been fined.

This €50,000 sanction directed at influencer Pupette Kenza, who has been in turmoil for months after several disagreements, clearly exceeds the amount imposed on influencer Nabilla in 2021. The former reality TV star was then prosecuted for promoting online trading training. a site that she guaranteed to earn, without specifying that it was a commercial partnership.
