The Lima Stock Exchange (LSE) shows its main mixed stock market indicators this Wednesday, September 27.
At average 10:00 am, the S&P/BVL Peru General Index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, registered a variation of -0.09% and stood at 22,625.44 points.
For its part, the S&P/BVL Peru Selective Index, which is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, recorded a variation of 0.35% to 589.51 points.
The Consumer and Financials sectors showed positive variations of 0.44% and 0.65%, respectively; while Industrials (-0.15%), Mining (-1.98) and Construction (-0.47%).
Yesterday the president of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola, ruled out that the Tía María mining project is currently on the Executive’s agenda.
“Look, about Tía María, it is not on the Government’s agenda at the moment. “The problems that this investment has had must be solved by consensus,” said the prime minister in Perumin 36.
These expressions differ from what was stated by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Óscar Vera, who maintained that there is a desire on the part of the Executive that the project be carried out and that there were conversations about it.
