With this appointment, which the group says is still “subject to ratification by the next general meeting of Air France-KLM” on June 5, Florence Parly will reclaim Isabelle Parise’s seat.

The airline group clarifies that the appointment of 60-year-old Florence Parly “is part of the prospect of Anne-Marie Couderc’s succession as President of the Board of Directors, at the latest at the end of the decision of the 2025 general meeting on the 2024 accounts.”

Former minister Anne-Marie Couderc, 73, is subject to an age limit, but Air France-KLM plans to submit to the 2024 general meeting an “amendment” of its articles of association “to allow the extension” of her mandate as chairman of the board of directors “for another year.” .

Enarc, former adviser to Lionel Jospin at Matignon in 1997, then Secretary of State for the Budget in 2000, Florence Parly knows Air France well, where she worked from 2006 to 2014, serving as director of investment strategy and then deputy general director. , initially responsible for freight transport and then short distance.

She then joined the SNCF and in June 2017 was appointed Minister of the Armed Forces, a position she held until May 2022.
