Jacuzzi, swimming pool, white marble… A superyacht confiscated by ships will be auctioned in Antibes

Following the recent sale of the magnificent Château de la Garoupe on Cape Antibes, confiscated from a Russian oligarch, justice is attacking the superyacht Stephanie. The almost new 41 meter long vessel, built in 2021, will be auctioned on January 25 at the Antibes Yacht Club by the Commissioner of Justice De Baecque & Associés. All this at the request of the Agency for the Management and Return of Seized and Confiscated Assets (Agrasc).

Traditionally based in the city, this state-of-the-art boat with a golden aluminum hull was intercepted several months ago by Italian police, according to media reports in that country. Transalpine law enforcement responded to a request from French authorities, who were very reserved on the matter.

The target owner is believed to be a wealthy Belarusian financier involved in a money laundering network in Europe. And which, according to experts, was in good taste, since the new buyer would be able to enjoy large outdoor terraces, white marble main deck floors, a Jacuzzi and a huge 4.5-ton swimming pool. “Many details, such as the railings with glass inserts or the transparent flagpole, have never been seen on a yacht before,” the auction house said.

The Stefania, with its eco-friendly exterior but still equipped with 29,600 liters of fuel tanks, can accommodate up to 10 people in five luxurious suites with private bathrooms. The height of billionaire chic: “A real wood-burning fireplace warms the large living room under 8-foot ceilings. »

If this sale is officially titled “So that crime doesn’t pay”, it will nevertheless have to pay very, very dearly to afford the ship, which is estimated to cost at least 8-10 million euros.
