Oise: Parc Asterix recruits 2,500 seasonal workers for its 35th anniversary

No downtime among the Gauls. While Parc Asterix closed its doors to the public on Sunday and will reopen on March 30, recruitment for the 2024 season will begin from Monday, January 15.

To celebrate its 35th anniversary, the business has spared no expense and is looking for more than 2,500 seasonal workers, up 500 on last year. A growth in power that is confirmed year after year and reflects the growing ambitions of the second largest amusement park in France by attendance.

“After a very good 2023 (the park already announced nearly 2.8 million visitors in November) “Ahead of the start of the season in spring 2024, Parc Asterix wishes to increase its recruitment levels in order to welcome visitors in the best conditions,” explains David Merafina, Human Resources Director. It is very important to us to attract motivated talent, so we have always strived to hire people whose commitment and motivation is felt by the public as they ultimately represent the park’s image on a daily basis. »

Two specialized employment forums this month and in February

Newbies, people in retraining or experienced, all profiles can join the teams of seasonal workers mobilized during the increasingly wide opening period, now covering All Saints’ Day and the Christmas holidays. The vacancies to be filled are primarily in the hospitality, catering, reception, sales, management, service and entertainment sectors.

In addition to a dedicated application site, two job forums are already planned to speed up the recruitment drive. The first of these will take place on Saturday 27 January – from 10:00 to 16:30 at the Cité Suspended Hotel – and is aimed at job seekers and temporary workers in the entertainment industry. The second, which will take place on Saturday 24 February at the same time and place, will concern students looking for work.

“Social know-how” is valued by recruiters

As with most companies now, Asterix recruiters will be looking to find a sense of dedication, excellent interpersonal skills and motivation among candidates rather than professional qualifications to hire seasonal workers. This famous “soft know-how” is highly valued by HR professionals and has been the basis of park HR campaigns for several years.

The goal is also to retain seasonal employees year after year, and for this Parc Asterix has prepared a recipe that is quite worthy of a magic potion recipe. Like employees, seasonal workers, under certain conditions of seniority and presence, will receive shares in the Compagnie des Alpes group, the owner of the site. Enough to ensure the loyalty of the die-hard Gallic seasonal workers.
