Wall Street opens in mixed territory and the Dow Jones falls 0.23%

Wall Street opened this Tuesday in mixed territory and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, its main indicator, fell 0.23%, as investors analyze the latest business results.

Ten minutes after the trading floor opened, the Dow Jones stood at 37,913 points, and the selective S&P 500 rose 0.10%, to 4,855 points.

The Nasdaq composite market index, in which large technology companies are listed, rose 0.18%, up to 15,387 units.

Before the opening of the stock market, some companies announced their results: some results, such as that of 3M, which fell 9.20%, were lower than expected.

While those of Verizon and Procter & Gamble, whose shares rose 4.69% and 4.58%, did not disappoint investors.

After the stock market closes, it will be up to Netflix to announce its results.

Next week, several technology heavyweights such as Microsoft and Alphabet will publish their results.

By sector, gains predominated early in the morning, led by communications companies (0.82%) and non-essential goods (0.68%), while the health, technology and financial sectors woke up in the red with a drop. of 0.49%, 0.16% and 0.01%, respectively.

Among the 30 Dow Jones stocks, the advances of Verizon and Procter & Gamble stood out. While in the red the declines of 3M and Johnson & Johnson (2.24%) dominated, a company that also announced its results this Tuesday.
