Olympic Games 2024: To avoid the use of generators, Enedis connects its more environmentally friendly electrical terminals

We’ve all seen those huge generators that provide electricity to victims, especially after a hurricane, but they also produce a lot of smoke due to their heavy consumption of diesel fuel. These mobile structures come to the aid of the population, but they pollute the environment and no longer meet the challenges of the 21st century. Now there are new solutions. Enedis is wearing them throughout France and in particular at the next Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, of which the company is an official sponsor.

“Paris 2024 is committed to reducing the carbon footprint of the Games. They came to us so that we could support them in achieving this goal, in particular in connecting all objects to the electricity distribution network. We have the know-how for sensitive places such as hospitals, government buildings, so we can use this for sports or sporting events,” explains Nicolas Perrin, regional director of Enedis in Paris.
