The Shanghai Stock Exchange benchmark index rose 1.01% today after adding 30.5 points to 3,041.17.
For its part, the Shenzhen trading floor gained 57.93 units (+0.62%) and finished with 9,400.85.
The main stock markets in Southeast Asia ended the trading week this Friday with gains in Thailand and Malaysia, compared to losses in Vietnam, in a day marked by the closures of markets in the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore for local holidays.
In Thailand, the Bangkok Stock Exchange advanced 7.60 points, 0.55 percent, with the SET index closing at 1,377.94 integers.
In Malaysia, the Kuala Lumpur stock market gained 5.47 points, or 0.36 percent, and the KLCI index stood at 1,536.07 units.
In Vietnam, the VN index of the Ho Chi Minh stock market (the former Saigon) closed with 1,284.09 units after subtracting 6.09 points or 0.47 percent.
