Nearly five years after its launch, a wooden toy sold at Gifi is being recalled. The government website Rappel Conso invited owners of certain batches of this counterfeit food carton to return the product to the brand. This recall applies to all of France and is due to the “risk of swallowing small parts.”

Five lots of the toy are affected: LT2001008, LT2000940, LT2000598, LT2000193 and LT2000607. All of them were sold between June 1, 2019 and March 22, 2024 on the shelves of all Gifi stores present in France. They were presented in a cardboard box. For babies and children, they contain a cutting board with a small wooden knife and small three-piece items: faux croissants, carrots and potatoes.
Risks of “internal damage”
According to Rappel Konso, users risk “internal damage.” Therefore, the site advises not to play with this anymore and return the product directly to the checkout at the point of sale. Clients will be refunded. If you have any questions, please call: 05 53 40 54 54.
