A belt that does not provide sufficient protection. Thule France has issued a recall for its RideAlong bicycle seats, a model mounted on a light gray frame. According to Rappel Conso, the padding component of the product’s seat belt is an anomaly: It “may exceed regulatory fire resistance limits.”
The consumer, presumably a child, runs the risk of “internal deterioration” or poisoning. These are three models: lots 100106, 100107 and 100108. The goods were sold throughout France between 1 March 2021 and 31 October 2023, in particular in shops specialized in cycling equipment, as well as in Intersport stores (especially in Bayonne and Bidart). Replacing the harness
Recall Conso requests that you no longer use the product and return it to the point of sale. Consumers “will receive a new replacement part consisting of two paddings for the Thule RideAlong that will replace the current seat belt padding,” the recall sheet states. The replacement part will be offered free of charge and consumers will be asked to return, also free of charge, the appropriate seat belt padding in the return box.
