The business will close on Friday. The CFTC union still has 109 employees, down from 122 at the time of reinstatement. “The only way,” according to Nathalie Gayomar, a candidate for American buyers, decided at the end of March not to go through with the matter. It was Muth Mirror Systems, a 210-employee electronics company that “planned to retain 45 employees.” The company “was interested in establishing a division in Europe in addition to divisions in the US and China, had a development project that we considered good, but did not have the necessary funds to invest and in fact believed that our company was too dilapidated.” said Denis Robitzer, CFTC Delegate from Flabegues, France.

He stated that he was “extremely disappointed” and expressed “dissatisfaction” with the Flabeg group. “We remain convinced that what happened to Flabeg France was planned: we were liquidated,” he said. The Flabeg group informed Sarrewerden employees at the end of 2023 of a “catastrophic situation” due to the loss of a major customer of the French subsidiary, which mainly produces car mirrors and sun visors. The company, which is headquartered in Nuremberg, employs a total of 1,200 people, according to its website.
