Mexico: What is the price of the dollar today, Tuesday, October 12, 2021?

The exchange rate fell on Tuesday by Mexico by the appreciation of the peso after falling to its weakest level in almost seven months, although in a market that continued to be pressured by uncertainty about world inflation.

Today the dollar was trading at 20.8321 pesos for every dollar in the Mexican market, showing a 0.11% drop compared to Monday’s reference price.

Reuters reported that the Mexican peso it rose to 20.8988 units, its worst level since March 25.

In a report, CI Banco analysts indicated that operators “are concerned that the rise in prices is more persistent than initially expected by central banks, which may force them to withdraw their monetary stimulus earlier than expected.”

According to estimates by the financial group Monex, the exchange rate would fluctuate in a range of 20.70 to 20.90 pesos per dollar for the rest of the day.

On the other hand, the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) posted gains on Tuesday. The benchmark S & P / BMV IPC index rose 0.57% to 51,942.40 points at 12:04 am local time.
