SNCF opens sale of 500,000 tickets starting from 29 euros this summer

It’s time to save! SNCF has launched a flash sale of tickets starting from 29 euros, which ends on June 27. If the train runs with great success in the summer (6.5 million tickets have been sold so far), then there will still be plenty of seats, as our colleagues from BFM TV note.

This proposal covers several main areas. Among them we find for departure from Paris: Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Strasbourg, Rennes and Nantes. When departing from Lyon or Montpellier, the offer applies to travel to Paris. Finally, when departing from Lille, the sale affects travel to Lyon.

Trainline calculated, as reported by BFM TV, that last year travelers who booked 17 weeks in advance (when sales opened) saved 40%, compared with 14% for those who booked four weeks earlier.

At the beginning of June, SNCF opened online sales of its long-awaited Rail Pass. The pass is valid for children 16-27 years old and costs 49 euros per month during the summer. This offer allows young people to enjoy unlimited travel on regional and intercity trains.
