eBay will invest more than 1 million Peruvian soles to support micro, small and medium-sized companies in Peru

As a result of the current coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), micro, small and medium businesses in Peru have faced unprecedented challenges that put their income and their ability to survive at risk. Because of this, eBay launched “My 24/7 eBay Business”, an acceleration program that will allow Peruvian businesses to open an eBay store at no cost and with unique benefits to start exporting their products to different parts of the world.

“For the last 25 years, eBay has helped develop hundreds of thousands of small businesses around the world, and now, due to this unprecedented situation, we create ‘My business 24/7 in eBay“so that businesses in Peru can set up an online store in an accelerated manner and with the necessary advice, reaching up to 159 million buyers in 190 markets”, says Ilya Kretov, Managing Director of Global Emerging Markets at eBay.

“For us, Peru is a very important market in the region due to its potential and the thousands of active sellers that currently export. Our business is based on connecting buyers and sellers around the world to create economic opportunities, and that is exactly what we must do now more than ever ”, added the director.

The objective of the program that was initially launched in other Latin American countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rico and Brazil, is to accelerate the export process and make it as smooth as possible.

● Business development program: Business who have more than 100 products to export, can apply for the program through this form and after receiving confirmation, they will receive support from eBay for the whole process.

● Shop eBay Premium or Super Shop at no cost: The store subscription level that best meets the needs of the requesting business will be provided. This store will have no cost for the first 3 months and they will be able to publish between 1000 and 10,000 thousand ads.

● Personal manager for the development of your business: Businesses will have access to a personal manager who will work hand in hand to support them to export on the platform in the most efficient way.

● Training program: A special training program will be made available to you to learn about all the characteristics of the platform and to know the details of each of the sales steps. From creating your account and uploading your inventory, to communicating with your buyers.

● Higher selling limits: Increase in the limit of ads that are entitled to run, at no additional cost to allow faster growth.
