General index of the Lima Stock Exchange clears all its losses for the year at the opening

The general index of the Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) erased all annual losses at the beginning of the session this Thursday, although the gains were limited by the fall of the mining sector.

At 10:22 in the morning, the S & P / BVL Peru General Index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, rose 0.42% to 20,894.03 points.

For its part, the S & P / BVL Peru Selective Index, which is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, recorded a decline of -0.08% and stood at 548.07 units.

In recent days, the Lima stock market was very close to returning to the level registered at the end of 2020, when the general index reached 20,816.37 points while the selective ended with 549.45 points.

By sectors, most were shown in green, with services and electricity leading the gains (1.40% in both cases), while only the mining sector operated in red (-1.27%).

Among the shares that rose the most this Thursday were those of Rimac Seguros (8%), Fábrica Nacional de Acumuladores Etna (5.36%), Cervecería San Juan (5.36%), Buenaventura (4.55%) and Enel ( 3.86%).

On the other side of the table were the papers of Southern Copper (-3.42%), Nexa Resources Atacocha (-1.91%), Cerro Verde (-1.87%), Candente Copper (-1.67% ) and Alicorp (-1.56%).
