The price of the dollar in Mexico was trading lower in the session on Friday, in line with the markets in the region, and in the midst of a global decline in the dollar.

The United States Department of Labor said on Friday that 199,000 jobs were created in December, lower than expected, compared to a figure of 249,000 in the previous month. A Reuters poll of 65 economists had forecast job creation to rise to 400,000.

The index dollar, which compares the movements of the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, depreciated around 0.3%.
