BTS: Jimin undergoes emergency surgery for appendicitis and tests positive for Covid-19

Jimin, one of the members of the popular K-pop band BTS, tested positive for COVID-19 just before he underwent surgery for acute appendicitis.

This was reported this Monday by BIG HIT Music, the agency that represents the group and its members, through a statement shared through the Weverse fan platform.

As reported, the singer went to a health center on the afternoon of last Sunday feeling severe abdominal pain. But that was not all, as he also complained of a sore throat.

After being diagnosed with appendicitis, The respective coronavirus discard test was taken so that he could undergo surgery, which yielded a positive result.

“The operation was a success and Jimin is recovering after the intervention”, they added to the document, adding that he was “rapidly overcoming” the COVID-19 infection.

But nevertheless, Jimin, whose full name is Park Ji-min, will be hospitalized for postoperative care. in addition to following the necessary treatment for mild symptoms of the coronavirus.
