Bad Bunny: businessman assures that getting a second date “was a hard fight”, he competed with another country

behind the arrival of bad bunny to Peru there were about six months of strenuous negotiations and millionaire economic investment. César Ramos, owner of Masterlive, the production company in charge of bringing the Puerto Rican artist to our country, restarted a few days ago with the musician’s representatives to get a second date. “It was a tough fight,” he says. And he also came out on top.

It should be noted that before starting the interview they made it clear to us that the businessman would not talk about capacity or costs for a contract issue.

-What led you to take this risk, to look for a second date?

It was a more statistical issue, we reviewed how many people intended to attend the concert. Almost half a million people entered wanting to buy a ticket. In fact, we confirm that we can fill more than one date. I have no doubt that the tickets will sell out on Monday at 9:00 in the morning.

– Is it true that you had to face other countries?

Bad Bunny has sold out in several countries in Central America and Latin America, also in the United States. It is not just a Peruvian issue. Everyone was looking for a new date, so he had to decide. We fought the second date with Quito, Ecuador, which also sold out quickly. It was a tough fight.

-The same singer was in charge of approving the second date?

You talk to the representatives, but normally they talk to the artist. And yes, he is the one who finally approves.

-Why did you lean towards Peru? What determined your decision?

It may have been due to the great demand that there was or the affection of the public that was strongly felt on social networks.

-How many people from your team will arrive in Peru?

More than 50 people come and it is something that can grow. He has a pretty big team.

-In case the health authorities decide to reduce the capacity or the singer cannot come due to a Covid issue, do you have any contingency plan?

Globally, things are actually looking up. Beyond the different variants that may exist nine months from now, which is the show, it is known that the global behavior in terms of reactivation no longer leads us to confinement. It can’t get any worse. On the contrary, the capacity is improving, recently we saw the National Stadium with a capacity of 70%.

What led you to bet on Bad Bunny?

Honestly, we knew he was an artist of the moment, he expected the sold out, but he didn’t expect the reception he got. I was surprised.

Will you be looking for a third date?

That is impossible because the artist has to go to Ecuador and they no longer give us the days for a new date.

-Why do you think Bad Bunny has grown so fast?

Because beyond his music, he has consolidated a character. How he dresses, what he says, what he thinks, everything is imitated. It is a phenomenon, it is an icon for young people worldwide.
